We rehearse Monday nights from 6:45 PM to 9:30 PM in the Banquet Hall in the basement of First United Methodist Church , 420 North Nevada Avenue downtown. We accept new members at the beginning of each Fall and Spring semester. Email us at our new email address solideogloriacs@hotmail.com with any questions. To be included in our regular email announcements to members that will include concert information and other musical notes of interest, please complete the information in the box on the left of this page. During the registration process to sign up for our mailing list, be sure to follow the instructions carefully. You will not be on our mailing list until you respond to the initial email you will receive after signing up. We look forward to the possibility of you joining us at our next concert or in the future as a member of Soli Deo Gloria!
What does it cost? Registration for the this next semester: $40 for dues for the semester and $40 (est.) for music. New members may have their first semester dues fee waived if they have to purchase performance attire for their first concert. See the handbook for performance attire and other details.
Our Mission Statement:
We desire to glorify God through quality presentations of predominantly sacred choral music to a progressively wider and larger audience. We will strive to do this by:
- Improving the quality of our musical presentations.
- Building a deeper sense of community among members.
- Treating one another with respect.
- Increasing the number and location of concert venues with a focus toward people not familiar with sacred music, or who may find great comfort in our musical offerings.
- Supporting our activities with sound financial management and fund raising.
- Improving our effectiveness by trying out new activities and processes, evaluating the results, and then making further modifications on a continuing basis.
We gratefully accept donations!
The Soli Deo Gloria Choir is a nonprofit organization supported only by fees paid by each choir member, member-generated fund raising activities, and donations. Your tax deductible donations are greatly appreciated and allow us to produce larger works that require orchestral support (since professional orchestra members must be paid for their time and effort). Our meager budget also pays for rehearsal and performance space, score rental fees, programs, and administrative expenses.
You can easily and safely donate on-line by clicking on the link on the left side of this page. You will receive an email receipt for your tax files in the process. Thanks for your support!
