Volunteer(s) Needed To Do Concert  Program Layout

As we thought might happen,  a few board members have started working on the program because no one has stepped forward to help with this task. Folks, the board can't do it all. We need help from our talented members. Thanks for giving this your attention.

We need someone to create the layout and procure a cover design for this semester's program. Lon Enloe was going to do this for us, but when his wife Aldy began cancer treatment, he obviously had to prioritize his commitments.

I'm guessing that this is not quite as daunting as it sounds, but has a goodly number of hours attached to it. Duties would include liaison with the printer. June Hamm, who did this for us beautifully for several years has provided a list of tips and ideas, so you wouldn't be starting from scratch. Colleen Peterson will provide the text for the music in Microsoft Word. School District 11 Printing has indicated that we qualify as a customer. Anyone familiar with desktop publishing is going to be in a position to make quicker work of it than the rest of us.

 Advertising Pays for Program

The ads that we members sell to merchants and service providers in our community pay for our concert programs. If we all sell one ad, it's a breeze. Please consider placing an ad for your own business and/or speaking with folks in your area about placing an ad. It can be as simple as a business card and a check.  Showing a program from  a previous concert lets people know exactly how their money is being spent.

Terry has uploaded a new advertising form to our website (www.solideogloriacs.org) - please include it with payment to Susan Ramsay by November 23,2009. (This date is absolute.)

Here are the rates:
Business card size- horz. only (1/8 page-2.75"x4.25" or 2.125"x5.5") - $30
1/4 page  (4.25"x5.5") - vertical only - $55
1/2 page (5.5"x8.5") - vertical only - $100
Full page (8.5"x11") - vertical only - $150

Ads must be camera ready, black and white.
