HAVE YOU MISSED 4 OR MORE REHEARSALS?
If so, you are required to attend a GROUP audition at 6:30 pm this Monday, Nov. 30, in order to perform in the concert. Please don't panic- it is never as bad as it sounds. Just come prepared. If you are not sure how many rehearsals you have missed, please check with your section leader today.
ON A RELATED NOTE-
If you have to miss a DRESS rehearsal, you must speak with Brad in advance. |

READERS FOR THE PERFORMANCE
If you are a reader for this semester's concert, please be prepared to read during rehearsal on Monday, Dec. 7th. |

NON-SINGING PAGE TURNER NEEDED FOR CONCERT
Due to the complexity of the accompaniments of the December concert's music, we must have a volunteer page turner who will not sing.
This person does not have to be a member of Soli. A knowledge of the needs of a keyboardist in performance is very helpful, but someone who reads music and is focused and dedicated to the task is required. Obviously during the performance, Judy cannot shout, "Turn!" or nod her head the great obviousness.
Are you willing to do this, or do you know a competent high school age musician who would be willing to help out? I can see a gift card in this person's future as thanks for being willing to attend the last few rehearsals and the performance. And, of course, Judy has the final word about who she thinks will do the job properly.
Please give this some thought. Thank you! |

Fundraising Letter To Be Mailed Soon
Since this was announced in the last N&N, we have received lists from only 3 members. Just FYI-
In previous fundraising efforts, a donation letter was sent to individuals and businesses in the area who value what we as a choir bring to the community. This has proven to be an effective way to generate funds from outside of Soli itself.
This is a standard practice for non-profits to gather monies, and we look forward to embracing this as cost effective and time efficient. Having funds beforehand, rather than after a concert, allows us to plan well and work within our means.
We need the help of every member to build a new mailing list to continue this effort. Please provide at least 2 names and addresses (physical locations rather than email) to further this project. You can email our website (www.solideogloriacs.org) or hand your list to any board member. This information is confidential, and will not be sold or used for any other purpose.
The letters are ready to send out now, but we really need more. Thank you for your contributions to this list. We all know it takes many forms of energy to keep an organization of this size on track to fulfill its mission, and to serve the needs of its members. |

Have You Heard?
I've inserted a new link for Stephen Main's The Darkest Midnight in December. The performers are VocalEssence from Minneapolis, and they are terrific!

That Height Thing...
The overall appearance of a choir during a concert is surprisingly affected by the smooth line created by the heights of the members. Please measure the height of the shoes you plan to wear for the concert, and add it to your doctor's office height to get a realistic number. |
