| AIR FORCE ACADEMY OUTREACH
To all Soli members performing in the Air Force Academy Experience on Sunday, February 14:
Brad would like to meet in the the small parking area on the right just before the guard gate at the North Entrance to the Academy. Plan to meet at 12:45 PM so that everyone can drive in together. Car pooling would be a great help if possible. This event will take place regardless of weather. The National Anthem should be memorized. Please bring a black folder for the Alma Mater .
Here’s the itinerary for the event:
1:00 – 1:30 PM – Arrive at Clune Arena
2:00 PM – National Anthem performance
Approximately 3:45 PM (Post-Game) – Air Force Alma Mater Performance (Third Verse)
There will be a reserved section of bleachers for choir members in the South end zone of Clune Arena. We will be sitting directly behind the Air Force bench. |
| SOLI SOLOIST AUDITIONS FOR BRAHMS REQUIEM

Soloist auditions will be held starting at 6:00 p.m., Monday, March 8, at First United Methodist Church, 420 N. Nevada Ave. Soloists should contact Brad Peterson, conductor, at 719-262-0614 or bradnco@msn.com to reserve an audition time.
The audition will consist of "Ye Now Are Sorrowful" (Movement V) for sopranos and "Lord, Make Me to Know" (Movement III) for baritones. Selected soloists will receive an honorarium for the performance. |
| BUTTER BRAID SALE
The Butter Braids/Cookie Dough sale will start on March 1 and orders and money should be turned in by March 15. Cookies and Butter Braids will be delivered at practice on March 29. The sale of Butter Braids has proven to be a great fund raiser for us. We make $4.00 on every Braid or Cookie Dough. If you prefer, donations of $10.00, the price of the Braids or Cookie Dough, are gladly accepted. Prizes will be awarded for the people with the 3 highest total sales. |
| PROGRAM AD SALES
Now is the time to be selling ads for the Spring Concert program. The money we raise from ads helps offset the printing costs for the program and raises funds for Soli, which in turn keeps our membership dues lower. Remind your prospective advertisers that the businesses who advertise in our program gain marketing access to some of the best customers in town!
For those in the process of obtaining ads, be sure to download or print the REVISED AD AGREEMENT from the web site at http://solideogloriacs.org/members.htm since both the form and the rates have changed.
The copy for each ad must be camera ready. If you are given a business card as the original copy, it will be hard to make it work for an ad bigger than 1/8 of a page. For more information on quality copy see the camera-ready tips on the Soli website. |
| REHEARSAL FILES
Here's a link www.tinyurl.com/solispring2010 to the site where you can find rehearsal files for the Spring concert. On the site you can click on each song's name and find parts for all four voices. |
| CONCERT ATTIRE FOR NEW MEMBERS
Members new to the choir this season please note:
Ladies, your dresses are on order. Gentlemen, DO NOT wait until the last minute to order your concert attire. Spring is prom and wedding season and supplies may be low so order your outfit now.
