| KUDOS FOR THE AIR FORCE ACADEMY SINGERS
Juliette Frederick received the following note from Chris Cavendish at the Air Force Academy and we wanted to share it with all the Choir members:
"I wanted to thank you very much for Soli Deo Gloria’s performances at the Feb. 14th dual-meet. It was incredibly impressive! Our events staff said they had never had a choir do a performance like that and it was very moving, especially for such an intimate crowd. The crowd and the atmosphere is always the extra factor for home field advantage and I think we definitely made an impact … I couldn’t believe we won in the last matches.
Our wrestlers had never been sung the third verse of the alma mater and the coaching staff was also grateful and moved by your performance. Your choir is made up of amazing people! I couldn’t believe the sound and music that you guys created, without microphones.
Thank you very much again, we received several compliments on the day’s events. I hope that Soli Deo Gloria can arrange to sing at an Air Force event again. ... it was a privilege working with you and I hope this won’t be the last time we cross paths. "
As we all would have expected, you made a great impression and served as wonderful ambassadors for our choir. Thanks to Brad for helping provide this opportunity to choir members. |
| BUTTER BRAID SALE
Order forms for the Butter Braids/Cookie Dough sale are now available. Orders and money should be turned in by March 15. Tell your friends and relatives that donations of $10.00, the price of the Braids or Cookie Dough, are also gladly accepted. Cookies and Butter Braids will be delivered at practice on March 29, just in time for Easter! Prizes will be awarded for the people with the 3 highest total sales. |
| PROGRAM AD SALES
Now is the time to be selling ads for the Spring Concert program. The money we raise from ads helps offset the printing costs for the program and raises funds for Soli, which in turn keeps our membership dues lower. Don't give up too easily. Sometimes it takes more than one visit to make a sale. Maybe when you place an order with your Mary Kay, Avon or jewelry rep you can plant the seed for an ad and then follow through on the sale when they drop your order off. And be sure to remind your prospective advertisers that the businesses who advertise in our program gain marketing access to some of the best customers in town!
For those in the process of obtaining ads, be sure to download or print the REVISED AD AGREEMENT from the web site at http://solideogloriacs.org/members.htm since both the form and the rates have changed.
The copy for each ad must be camera ready. If you are given a business card as the original copy, it will be hard to make it work for an ad bigger than 1/8 of a page. For more information on quality copy see the camera-ready tips on the Soli website. |
